Va haver-hi una època en què esternudava més sovint. Esternuts petits, suaus, graciosos. D'aquells que fins i tot et fan sentir alleujada. Últimament en canvi, ja quasi bé no esternudo mai d'aquesta manera; ara són d’aquells que mai venen sols, tristos i pesats.
Vaig sentir fa temps que quan esternudaves era conseqüència del simple fet que algú pensava en tu en aquell precís moment. I a vegades, quan esternudo, em pregunto fins a quin punt és cert això que es diu. Fins i tot existeix una petita esperança creient que el meu "axis" ha estat intencionat per algú que espero.
Però aquesta minúscula fantastia reposa sota l'ombra de la fermesa de l'afirmació que és culpa de la maleïda pols. Encara que estaria bé que hi hagués un ximple que de tant en tant penses en mi i jo pogués tenir-ne la prova amb un d'aquest eixebuiros petits i discrets. Però em sembla que són coses poc probables, la vida no està feta per supersticions d'aquest tipus.
